| The UNIA-ACL has restored the land claim involving the Estate of Sir Isaiah Morter, the first Black millionaire of Belize who willed over 500 acres of land to the UNIA back in the 1920's. The will was contested and the Supreme Court of London (Privy Council) ruled in the favor of the UNIA. Due to the legal problems of the Right Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey the final possession of this land was not finalized. Continued Here |
| Important developments from the 52nd Int Convention: Enter here for Convention Pictures 1. African Redemption Fund (ARF) – Is a way for African People to address our Sovereignty. 2. International Expatriate Movement (IEM) – Every race on the planet have an Expatriate Program in which each country protects their citizens where ever they go (dual citizenship). 3. The Exoneration of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey Committee Led by Brother Yaw from Los Angeles. Marcus Garvey and the UNIA-ACL did nothing wrong. There has been exnerations issued by government officials in New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Florida, and Connecticut. We need to continue this effort to have Marcus Garvey’s name cleared in the US documents and history. More information is available on this effort at www.marcusgarveyexoneration.com. Volunteers needed. 4. Black Cross Nurse - Re-Establishment of the Black Cross Nurses in all Divisions. They provide services for our Elders in the community. The Black Cross Nurse is also an Official Chartered Division of the UNIA- ACL from Belize. They provide Social Services for our people. 5. 2014 is the 100th Anniversary of the UNIA-ACL. Look out for Global Centennial celebrations. 6. UNIA-ACL Business – Each Division of the UNIA-ACL must have Study Groups, Community newspaper, a Division Library, and After School Program, and establish along with a building fund. In addition, each Division of the UNIA-ACL gave reports. 7. Garvey's Voice – The Distribution of the Garvey Voice Magazines is one of the most important means to educate our people. |

| Rita Marley, reggae artist and humanitarian, and widow of Reggae icon Bob Marley, sat in regal serenity at the Caribbean American Heritage Awards Gala in Washington, DC last week, giving little inkling of the true fighter that she is. For her passion and dedication to social justice and equal rights, she was being honored with the Marcus Garvey Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Caribbean Studies. | To the African Race, Today marks the home going service of BaBa Tony Martin the worlds leading historian, author and scholar on the works, words and deeds of Marcus Garvey and the UNIA-ACL. On January 17th, 2013, our Brother passed on from this life. The Home going service will be held today January 25th, 2013 in his birthplace Trinidad. A Memorial Tribute will also be held there on Saturday January 26th, 2013. Our Brother shall be memorialized, revered and remembered all over the African world. His service to Africans at home and abroad, his teachings of Race First and his lectures the world over have been a blessing and factual presentation of lessons the world over for us to learn from. The UNIA-ACL ask that you study the works, words and deeds of Dr Tony Martin. Purchase his books and share them with others. We shall all miss our Brother here with us, yet hold him in high esteem, as he moves through his last rites of passage into the ancestral realm along with many who have gone on before us. Lest We Forget! Dr Tony Martin and all he has done for us to know the truth of the Garvey movement of the 20th century. Certainly he shall join in the spiritual Whirlwind with Marcus Garvey and countless true Garveyites. Up You Mighty Race We Can Accomplish What We Will!
