Aloe Vera and The Benefits
I am here to learn and to spread
awareness about naturally healing
ourselves, especially in the African
American Community

Aloe Vera and benefits:
The gel in aloe Vera plants contains vitamins A, B, C,
and E. Aloe Vera has been nicknamed the 'miracle
plant' because of its many uses and benefits.

Skin uses:
Fights aging, evens skin tone and lightens blemishes
Aloe Vera scrub & aloe Vera for acne

Hair uses: leaves hair silky and shiny, prevents itchy
scalp, promotes hair growth, great hair conditioner,
reduces dandruff.

Aloe Vera& coconut oil hair mask- das it
30 mins- 1 hr before shampooing hair, Rub on scalp to
deliver important vitamins and minerals and promote
hair growth. Rub a mixture of the gel and your favorite
oil throughout the length of your hair.

Health benefits:
After harvesting your aloe Vera gel from your plant,
put into a blender with a little lemon juice and water.
(Lemon juice stops it from getting brown)

Drink the juice to relieve indigestion, bloating, irritable
bowel syndrome, relieves symptoms of heart burn
and arthritis. Lowers blood sugar levels if you suffer
from diabetes and helps to reduce cholesterol.

For those suffering from asthma: boil your aloe Vera
leaf in a pot of water and inhale the steam/vapor to
alleviate symptoms.

Growing your aloe Vera plant
Why grow your own?
Easy to grow at home, in doors. Fairly inexpensive.
Low Maintenence. Easier than purchasing a new leaf
every time you need to use it. Relieve stress by
naming and taking care of your plant, as your plant
takes care of you. Can start using right away (but do
not use all of your leaves or the plant will die)

Good house plant
Avoid overwatering, as these are desert plants which
were designed to self sustain with little water. Don't
need to be watered often. Water every few days,
allowing the soil to dry up a few inches before the
next watering.
Can thrive in low sunlight or artificial light. (I
recommend sunlight)
Will dry up outside in constant direct sing light.
Talk to them often and let them know you care for
them. The CO2 you provide will be beneficial in your
plant growth.
